PREFACE
Although music is a part of this course and is provided, please understand that it is only an "extra." The true focus of the study is understanding the Word of God, for the purpose of deepening and growing in your relationship with Jesus Christ. The music is provided for your enjoyment, but will not be a focal point in the course. The reason it is included is because the entire bible study was borne out of it.

ORIGIN OF THE BIBLE STUDY
After listening to an inspiring radio show about the seven miracles that Jesus performs in the Book of John, I decided that I would like to write music based on these seven miracles. During the broadcast, they explained the Biblical significance of numbers in general and of the number seven in particular.

A LITTLE JOKE
As I began my study of Jesus’ seven miracles in this book, and pondered their significance, I started to “hear” and compose some simple music. But to my surprise, my goal of writing seven songs for each of the seven miracles turned instead into one song per chapter, for a total of twenty-one songs. After close to a year of study, I discovered something that I attributed to God’s supreme sense of humor: I saw that I had a song for each chapter except one—chapter seven! I have two songs for chapter two, which stills makes for a total of twenty-one songs.
