AN UNCONVENTIONAL STUDY
This study of Scripture is being offered to help you familiarize yourself with the Book of John through thought-provoking discussion assignments augmented with the use of video,* music, and handouts. The Book of John was chosen because of its universal message, warm spirituality, and broad appeal. The Bible version being used is the New International Version for it’s clear and contemporary language.  

THE BOOK OF JOHN
John himself explains the goal: that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that by believing you may have life in His name. Using the images of light and life to describe God’s activity in the world, John records seven miracles, culminating in Jesus’ resurrection, which he sees as proof that Jesus is the Son of God. The Book of John also includes several of Jesus’ sermons unique to John, which explain the purpose of Jesus’ life.

MY PRAYER
As you travel along in your journey and the story of Jesus unfolds in the Book of John, I hope you will be spiritually uplifted, which causes you to grow in Christ.

* NOTE ABOUT THE VIDEO:  The videos I use in the study are from YouTube.  They are usually excerpts from "The Gospel of John - The Movie,"  which is excellently acted and animates the gospel of John.  I will be using excerpts from this movie and other videos from YouTube throughout the bible study.  You do not have to view these videos to participate in the classes.  At the end of the movie, there may be other links offered from YouTube; I do not endorse any other links.
