Partners in Christ
Married and in ministry for 16 years, Pastors Leon and
Sheila Pace desire to be channels of blessing to others
as they share the goodness of the Lord. They have sold
out to the Lord and are committed to spend, and be spent
for the cause of Christ. Together side by side, they
have worked in ministry since that day. Through Word of Deliverance Fellowship Ministries, the
Lord allows Pastor Leon and Pastor Sheila to conduct an
Adult Literacy Program, an Emergency Food Pantry, Summer
Breakfast & Lunch Program for Youth, as well as a Super
Food Cupboard on site. Together in the Lord, they are
committed to helping individuals who have been plagued
by substance abuse to gain control over their lives and
to help them become productive members of society.

PASTOR
LEON PACE
Pastor Leon Pace was born in Philadelphia and
graduated from Edwin Bok Vocational Technical High
School. His young life was no different than most,
although he chose his own path. He chose a path of
drugs, alcohol and riotous living.
Everyone that he loved, he hurt. He often tells the
story about how one day his dad traveled some 600
miles to come and see how he was doing. That is when
his life began to change. On that day he surrendered
his life to Christ on the side of the road sitting
in his dad's car; his life has never been the same
since.
PRISON
His father took him back to South Carolina and gave
him a Bible. The Word of God became his source of
life. Since Pastor Leon was a fugitive from justice
and God would let him have no peace, shortly after
committing his life to Christ, Pastor Pace turned
himself in to the authorities and went to prison for
his past crimes. On the way to turning himself in to
the hands of the law, he heard the voice of the Lord
say, "TRUST ME." It was there in prison, that he
began to trust the Lord and got to know Him
personally. This was his wilderness experience where
it was just himself and God. Facing seven to fifteen
years behind bars, Pastor Leon was a free man after
serving just one and a half years.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
After coming home from prison, Pastor Pace joined
his sister's church, the Church of Philadelphia;
this is where he began to grow spiritually. He was
hired to work at the church, and, as Pastor Pace
continued to grow spiritually, the Lord began to
move him into ministry.
ORDAINED
Pastor Leon Pace was ordained as an Elder of The
Church of Philadelphia, by Pastor Carmine DiBiase in
1992. Three years later, he was ordained Pastor of
the Vineyard by Robert Merritt in 1995. After that
he worked at Teen Challenge as Program Supervisor.
This was where the Lord did miraculous things in his
life and allowed him to give back to others. Teen
Challenge is a Christian drug & alcohol residential
rehabilitation program for adult males and females.
Pastor Pace had been given the gift of counseling
and soon he became Director of the Teen Challenge
Induction Center in Rehrersburg, Pennsylvania. As he
was asked to interview for that position he laughed
to himself saying "wouldn't it be something if the
Lord would give a former drug user such a position?"
The laugh was on him because that is exactly what
the Lord did. He served in that position for three
years.
MINISTRY
Pastor Leon felt the Lord’s urging to return to the
city of Philadelphia, and upon returning he held the
position of Interim Pastor of Bible Way Baptist
Church for one year. He was then asked to remain as
Pastor and served for four faithful years. Pastor
Leon has now been serving in his own ministry Word
of deliverance Fellowship Ministries Inc since 1996.
Pastor felt that he should also be accountable to
leadership as well therefore is a covenant partner
of Freedom Christian Bible Fellowship under the
leadership of Bishop Gilbert Coleman.
He is available for counseling and preaching
engagements upon request. He can be reached by
telephone at (484) 300-4112.
